Women Referee's in the NFL

Although at the time of this blog it wasn’t confirmed, it looks like the NFL will have it’s first female referee! She’s Sarah Thomas, a 41-year-old mother of three.

My personal opinion has always been if a woman can do the job on the same level that a man can, they should be allowed to hold that position.

I could never see women competing against men in a sport like football or boxing, but being a sports official is something both genders can do on an equal level, so why not?

We have female officials in the NBA and they do their job the same as the male referees.
