A social media post caught my eye yesterday and before I decided to share it with you I checked out on my favorite fact check site Snopes.com.

I could not believe it was true. I have to tread lightly here as it is quite kinky. Here we go.

Apparently, as the story goes and as was reported in The American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology in 1990, a young woman opted to use a deer part for recreational activity after her husband brought it home as part of his trophy buck bagging trip. She somehow lost track of it and well, she discovered quite a while (months!) later where it went because she had to go to the doctor. It was causing problems.

You can read the full, graphic details in the Journal...but I will sum it up like this:

If you use deer tongue for recreational activity, makes sure it is accounted for afterwards.
