Woman Accused of Stealing from Alzheimer’s Patient
A woman who regularly helped a man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease run errands is accused of stealing money from him.
New York State Police say 51-year-old Marianne Stanislawski of Chenango is charged with felony grand larceny, accused of using the 75-year-old man’s ATM/debit card for several months.
Investigators say the victim was alerted by his power of attorney that there had been suspicious withdrawals made from his bank account for several months.
Stanislawski was ordered to appear in Town of Oxford Court at a later date and an order of protection was issued ordering her to stay away from the victim.
