The US National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for parts of the Southern Tier.

A "snow event" could take place in Binghamton this Wednesday.

According to the map issued by the Nation Weather Service, Binghamton could see around two inches of snow.

Ithaca could see up to four inches of snow with Syracuse seeing a potential eight inches, the highest total predicted.

According to the US National Weather Service's Facebook page:

Colder air will work it's way back into our area tonight through mid week as a low pressure system moves slowly east through New England This will result in long duration snow event into Wednesday.

According to WBNG Tuesday will be 36 degrees with a 60% chance of precipitation,

Wednesday will bring 34 degree weather with 60% chance of precipitation.
