The New York Main Street Program awarded the project a grant to help four property owners pay for up to 75% of the costs of improvements to their buildings. Close to $246,000 was invested into Main Street to bring back the historic downtown business district.

Officials with the Broome County Landbank say the owners of 102 Main Street, 106, 110 and 121 Main Street were selected for the program to get both exterior and interior improvements. The sites had to maintain historic standards set by the Historic Design Guidelines established by the Village of Windsor.

The renovation work began late last year and was completed this past August.
