Why The Monday After The Super Bowl Should Not Be a Holiday

I got a link for a petition on the White House “We The People” page yesterday. Apparently, I should sign it so we get a holiday the Monday after the Super Bowl. Now, I know that 7 million people blow off work the day after the game, but the US population is over 310 million. So, I don’t see the benefit.

Josh Moore, owner of 4 x 4 which is a fantasy football website, started the petition. He has a vested interest in this holiday. I don’t.  I just checked the petition site and 100,000 signatures are need by February 23rd. So far there are less than 11,000.

Would you sign the petition?
