You know what I'm talking about. The fear of coming to work with some sort of change, knowing someone is going to make a comment.

You got a new haircut, shaved off your beard or mustache, sporting new clothes, a new set of glasses, another tattoo, etc. Maybe some people love the comments from friends, relatives and co-workers. I do not, and I don't make change to get comments.

I'm one of those guys who binge shop for clothes. I don't buy one shirt or a pair of pants at a time. For me, buying several at a time, means less trips and less time wasted picking out clothes. It's not one of my favorite things to do, rather more of a chore, and the quicker it gets done, the better.

So every time I come to work in a new shirt, new haircut or whatever, I've gotta endure the comments. Mostly positive, but we have a few smart-asses who think it's fun to make snide comments, like "Wow, nice cowboy outfit!",  "Did you steal that shirt off Charlie Brown's back?", "1985 called and they want their haircut back." You know the kind of person I'm talking about.

As for me, I don't care if you shaved off all your hair or decided to dress like you just came back from a disco party. Actually, I'm the one person in the office who doesn't even notice those kind of things, which at times, can get you into trouble, especially if the person wants you to notice. What makes that even worse, is if it's your significant other. Good luck with that one. I know. Been there, done that...many times.

So the next time you see me with some sort of change, even if I'm wearing a Duff Man outfit (Simpsons character...yes I have that costume), and it's not even Halloween, comments are not needed. Thank you.
