It's over.
Seems like the 27th annual Whale Bowl of Rock-n-Roll began and ended quickly, but it was three days of fun!
Would Lynyrd Skynyrd repeat as Whale Bowl Champions this year?
We experienced several blowout battles, some close battles and a few battle upsets.

Day Three (Friday) during the final Classic Rock 16 Battles, Bob Seger edged The Beatles by one vote, Lynyrd Skynyrd easily defeated Def Leppard, AC/DC dropped Motley Crue, and Ted Nugent (what, upset?) destroyed The Who.

The Classic Rock 8 Round results included Lynyrd Skynyrd blowing out Def Leppard, Pink Floyd doing the same to Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger winning a close one over powerhouse Rolling Stones, and Ted Nugent continuing his unlikely roll with a close win over AC/DC.

Moving on to the Classic Rock 4 Round, Pink Floyd ended Lynyrd Skynyrd's hopes of a repeat championship crown by scoring a one vote win to slide into the Championship Round, and Bob Seger put a stop to Ted Nugent's run to the finish with a late surge to secure the other spot in the Championship Round.

The Championship Round was now set with Pink Floyd set to take on Bob Seger.
The Whale Line phones got crazy with votes for both, but in the end, Pink Floyd fans were just overwhelming, defeating Bob Seger by 20 votes to win the 27th Annual Whale Bowl of Rock-n-Roll Championship!
Our congratulations to Pink Floyd.
It's been a while since they've won the championship.

Doug Mosher, Lee Ann Taylor and I had a lot of fun during the Whale Bowl, and we hope you did too.
We loved talking to all of you, and taking your votes.
Thank you for participating, and enjoy your Big Game weekend!
