Another weekend and more ways to not be a couch potato!

Enjoy some of these activities in the Southern Tier.

There is a benefit for local resident Craig Lawrence and his family to help his fight against cancer. It's Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi, Chenango Street in Hillcrest at 6 pm. Enjoy food, beverages, a live band raffles and more.

Mystery Dinner Theatre is coming to the Owego UMC, 261 Main Street, on Friday and Saturday at 6 pm. For details or  tickets, call 687-2417.

Saturday night, JCC, 500 Clubhouse Road in Vestal, is hosting a family movie night featuring "The Croods" at 7 pm. The cost is $10 for a family up to 5 people. An additional $5 per person after that. The event is open to the public!

The Broome County Public Library hosts "Binghamton past and Present" on Saturday from noon to 3 pm. BU students and residents will join to learn about the area with games, trivia and more. Led by the BU Emerging Leaders program.

There's an all you can eat chicken and biscuit dinner at the Maine American Legion, on Route 26, Saturday from 4 to 7 pm.

The 2nd Annual Chocolate Festival is the 17th from 1 to 4 pm at the Binghamton Doubletree Hotel. Over 20 chocolatiers, restaurants, caterers and more! Benefits the Addiction Center of Broome County.

Our Savior Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Rd in Endwell, hosts their Samspn's Coffeehouse on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm with the band Crossfire and light refreshment. Proceeds help fund the nursing home gift bag Christmas project.

Binghamton After 5 Dinner: The Joy in the Journey program will be held at the relief Pitcher, 197 Conklin Ave. in Binghamton, on November 19th from 6:15 to 8:15. Includes a program by Judy Willis and Janet DeVries.
