Alright! The temps are up, we haven't had snow for over a week and the sun has been out for more than an hour this week! I would say good weather is here. With that comes more activities in the Southern Tier.

Organizations are kicking up the fun a notch, and let's not forget the food. Here are some fun ways to spend your weekend in the Southern Tier:

Beth David Synagogue, 39 Riverside Drive, is having a rummage sale on Sunday from 10:30 am to 4 pm, Monday from 9:30 am to 4 pm and Tuesday, a $3 bag sale from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

The Valley Social Dance at VFW Post 1536 on West Lockhart Street in Sayre, PA, is on Friday from 7 to 11 pm.

There’s a wine tasting party to support the medical needs of a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows at the new church, 801 Main Street in Vestal, on Friday from 4 to  9 pm. Tickets available at the door or in advance by calling 748-8287.

The Main Street Baptist Church in Binghamton welcomes the Dunnemans in concert on Sunday at 6 pm. Gift offering accepted.

The St. Michael’s Ladies Guild Springtime Tea is on Saturday from 1 to 3:30 pm at the Recreation Center on Clinton Street in Binghamton. Advance tickets only. Call 648-8667.

Our Savior Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Rd in Endwell, is having a rummage sale on Friday from 9 to 5 and Saturday from 9 am to noon with a bag sale at noon.

Susquehanna County Career & Technology Center in Dimock, PA, hosts a car show on Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. Proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. There will be a chicken bbq by the Elk Lake Fire Company and many activities.

Stella Argenta, the Women’s Lodge, and Men’s Lodge of the Sons of Italy host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday at 62 Carroll Street in Binghamton from noon to 7 pm. Take out available.

The Harpursville Honor Society is hosting the 2nd Harpursville Cares Walk on Sunday at 1 pm at the Harpursville Central School. Benefits the Wounded Warrior Project.

There is a chicken bbq benefit in memory of David Bryant at the Choconut Inn on Saturday from 2 to 6 pm. Proceeds benefit a scholarship for Montrose High students.
