What’s Happening in Binghamton This Weekend

With the "advent" of Lent (pardon the pun!) comes many things to do in the Southern Tier! Have fun discovering new places, people and things!

The Endicott Elks Friday night dinner special is liver & onions along with their regular menu. Dinner serves from 5 to 8 pm. Don Miller & Al Green with Band of Gold perform from 8 to 11 pm.

P.A.S.T. hosts a Little Italy Historic (Endicott) walking tour tonight (Friday) from 6 to 9 pm. This is a web based tour at the P.A.S.T. offices, 89 Court Street in Binghamton. All are welcome.

Endwell UMC, 3301 Watson Blvd. in Endwell, is hosting a pasta and salad bar dinner tonight (Friday) from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Proceeds benefit the Anderson family for medical bills.

North Fenton UMC on Route 79 is hosting a ham & scalloped potato dinner on Saturday from 4 to 7 pm.

Harpursville United Methodist Church is hosting a Spring’s Almost Here breakfast buffet on Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 am. Bring the whole family!

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Police Benevolent Association is hosting an all you can eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 8 am until noon. It’s at the Delhi Fire House, 140 Delview Terrace Extension in Delhi. Proceeds benefit the Delaware County K-9 Fund.

Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Road, Endwell, is hosting a  Pasta and Meatball Dinner on Saturday from 5pm-7pm. All are welcome!

On Sunday, March 9th, 2014, Inspire Fitness, 160 Vestal Parkway East,  hosts a Fitness Fundraiser Day for 9 year old Maddie Shaw who is battling cancer. You choose your Workout. Go to inspirefiness.com to sign up and donate.  

There is a fundraiser for St. Baldrick’s at the Candor American Legion, 90 Spencer Road, on March 9^th from 1 to 4 pm. Root on those that will shave their heads to beat pediatric cancer! There will be activities and your chance to donate, too.

There’s a Valley Social Dance at the VFW Post 536 in Sayre, PA on Friday from 7 to 11 pm. D, refreshments and prizes!

The Chenango Forks Lacrosse Booster Club is having a Doug’s Fish Fry on March 12^th from 11 am to 6 pm at the Chenango Bridge Fire Station, Kattelville Road.

There is a Pierogi Sale every Thursday in Lent through April 17^th at 3:30 pm at All Saints Church, 42 Harry L. Drive in JC. No half dozens.

St. Michael’s, 296 Clinton Street in Binghamton, hosts a pirohi sale every Friday in Lent. Order potato or cabbage by calling 729-0261. Pick up is Thursdays 10 am to 5 pm and Fridays 10 to 11 am then 1:30 to 5 pm. Lunches served Fridays from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Ave in Endicott, is hosting Lenten fish dinners on Fridays during lent from 4 to 6:30 pm.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street in Endicott, is having a rummage sale on Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm with a bag sale at 1.

The Knights of Columbus Council 11403's annual Hooley in Hillcrest is Saturday from 7 pm to midnight at St. Francis of Assisi Parish gym, 1051 Chenango Street. Features live music. Advance tickets available by calling 722-4388.

The Rod Serling School of Fine Arts at Binghamton HS presents "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" at the Helen Foley Theater March 6^th through 8^th at 7:30 pm and March 9^th at 2 pm.

The Maine Masonic Lodge hosts a roast beef dinner on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 pm. Take outs available.

The Hillcrest American Legion post 1194, 363 West Service Road in Binghamton, hosts a Friday Night Fish Fries every Friday in lent beginning on Friday. Serving begins at 5 pm. Dine in or take out.
