Oh boy are we busy in the Southern Tier! Forget about summer being the more jam packed season. September is making the Fall look like we won't slow down.

Here are some things you can enjoy:

There is a benefit for the family of Alan Hill, who lost his battle with cancer, on September 14th from 1 to 6 pm at the VFW, 103 Nanticoke Ave in Endicott. There will be ziti, raffles, auctions and entertainment.

The Endicott Elks Friday dinner is liver & onions along with their regular menu. Serves from 5-7 pm.

The Owego Lions Club is having a Chinese auction on Saturday at the Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guild Boulevard. Doors open at 6 pm with drawing at 7. Refreshments available.

The Tioga County Rural Ministry is taking applications for senior citizens, age 65 and older to get help with Fall cleaning by volunteers. To sign up, call 687-3021.

There will be a roast beef dinner at the Maine Masonic Lodge, Route 26 in Maine, on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 pm. Take outs available.

The Triangle Fire Station is hosting a 9-11 Memorial Service all you can eat spaghetti dinner on Thursday beginning at 4:30 pm. Memorial service will be at dusk.

The 11th Annual Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Hooley, sponsored by the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Divisions 1 & 2, is Friday from 7 to 11 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 136 Park Ave in Binghamton.

The Binghamton Elks, 201 Chenango St., is having their Friday night dinner with chicken parm. Serves from 6 to 8 pm.

The Back to School breakfast buffet is Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 am at the Harpursville United Methodist Church.

The Tammy Twitchell Crafts Foundation is hosting a spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction on Sept. 18th from 4 to 7 pm at the Willowvale Fire Hall, 3459 Oneida Street in Chadwicks. Take outs available.

The Main Street Baptist Church, 117 Main Street in Binghamton, hosts a community hymn sing on Sunday at 6 pm.
