  • There will be a benefit pasta dinner for Eric Breed, June 7th from 12 to 6 at the Vestal Elks Club, 2071 Vestal Parkway West. Basket raffles and 50/50 too. Proceeds will subsidize significant medical expenses resulting from Eric’s emergency, life-saving heart surgery. Donation is ten dollars for adults, 5 dollars for children 5 through 12, children 5 and under free. Get tickets at the door, or in advance at Southern Tier Physical Therapy in Vestal.   • Join a room to Heal’s 4th Annual 5k Run and Walk, May 30th from 8 to 11am at Otsinengo Park. Have fun and wear your pajamas! Family activities and refreshments too. Register at a room to heal dot org.
  • There will be a chicken barbeque May 30th at Zion Lutheran Church, 17c west, Owego. Cost is ten dollars. From 11am until gone.
  • Join the Eastern Broom Senior Center, 27 Golden Lane, Harpursville, May 28th for an evening meal and bingo. Call 693-2069 by noon May 27th to reserve your meal. All welcome!
  • The Penny Memorial Day Bluegrass Festival is May 22nd through May 25th at Wrench Ranch in Coventryville, Route 206 between Bainbridge and Greene. Music, food, camping and raffles. Call 748-6671 for more details.
  • The Eastern Stars are having a fundraising event with Doug’s Fish Fry To Go, May 21st from 11am to 6pm at Everybody’s Bulk Food Market, 569 5th Ave, Owego. Baked goods for sale as well.
  • The Port Crane Fire Company, across from Chenango Valley State Park, will be holding a Chicken BBQ May 16th from 10 to 4. Crafts, flea market, and car show as well.
  • The Chenango Valley Central School District has openings available for their pre-kindergarten program. For more information about registration call 762-6975.
