Looking for things to do in our community? Here’s what's going on around the Greater Binghamton area over the next week.

  • The 3rd Annual Black & White Party and Fundraiser for the Sean’s Standing Strong Memorial Fund – which assists young adults with cancer – is Saturday, November 21st from 7 to 10pm at the Binghamton Club. Cost is forty dollars and includes hors d’oeuvres, refreshments and dessert. There will also be a cash bar, raffles and silent auction. Learn more at sean standing strong dot org.
  • There is an all you can eat chicken & biscuit dinner at Maine American Legion Post 1390, Route 26, Maine, on Saturday, November 21st from 4 to 7pm. Adults eight dollars, children six to twelve are four dollars, children five and under are free.
  • The Binghamton Theatre Organ Society presents John Ledwon performing some of Disney’s finest tunes, including accompaniment to Disney’s earliest mouse movie, as well as selections from “Frozen”, on November 22nd at 2pm. Learn more at Binghamton T O S dot org.
  • Tioga Opportunities WIC program will be taking applications to receive checks for WIC foods various days and locations. Call their office at 687-3147 to learn more.
  • The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton presents Lessons and Carols for Christmas, Saturday, November 28th at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 29, at 3:00pm in the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect Street, Binghamton. For ticket information go to madrigal choir dot com.
  • The Hungry Ear program -- celebrating the art of the short story -- shares two holiday stories: “O’Brien’s First Christmas” and “A Christmas Client” on Monday, November 30th at 5:30pm at the Broome County Public Library.
  • The Endwell/O. L. Davis Fire Company holds a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 29, 7 am to 1 pm, at the fire station, 3508 Country Club Road.  Santa will be there from 10 am to noon to talk to kids.  Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children 4-12, under 4 are free.
  • Literacy Volunteers of Chenango County are offering free tutoring for adults in reading, writing, math, and computer literacy skills. Call 334-7114 for more information.
