  • The first annual Bernie-Fest Memorial Benefit for the Alzheimer’s Association, in honor of Bernadine Tuthill, is Saturday, October 3rd beginning at noon at the Pines Pavillion, 1660 Union Center Highway, Endicott. Six bands, two DJs, food, raffles, prizes and more. Fifteen dollar presale admission includes chicken dinner. Ten dollar admission day of show with food purchased separately.
  • Traci’s Hope 12th Annual Barbeque is Saturday, October 3rd from noon to 6 at the Apalachin Fairgrounds. Twelve dollars per adult, five dollars kids six through twelve. Music, raffles, and kids’ activities, with all proceeds benefitting those fighting breast cancer in Broome, Tioga, Bradford and Susquehanna Counties.
  • There’s a rummage sale Saturday, October 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at All Saints Church, 42 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City.
  • There’s a Roast Pork dinner, Sunday, October 4th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 at the Round Hill Masonic Center, 403 East Main Street, Endicott. Adults nine dollars; children 3-50; five and under free.
  • There’s a chicken and biscuit dinner, Saturday, October 3rd from 4 to 7pm at Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Upper Front Street, Binghamton. Eight dollars per person; five and under are free.
  • There is a benefit for David Warne (worn), who is battling cancer, at the Kalurah Shriners Temple, 625 Dickson Street, Endicott, on October 10th from noon to 5. Basket raffles, live music and delicious food. For more information call Mike at 743-6683.
  • The Endwell Fire Auxiliary is holding a Firefighter Family Garage Sale at the Endwell Fire Station, 3508 Country Club Road, October 10th from 9am to noon.
  • Endwell UMC, 3301 Watson Boulevard, Endwell, is having a Fall Roast Beef Dinner, October 10th from 4 to 7pm. Family style … all you can eat … adults ten dollars, under 12 four dollars, under 5 free.
  • There is a Model Train Show & Sale at the Hawley Fire Department, 17 Columbus Ave, Hawley, PA on October 11th from 9am to 3pm. Three dollar admission … under 12 free if accompanied by an adult.
  • Saint Cyril’s Social Club is having a French Toast Breakfast, October 11th from 7:30 to noon at the Saint Cyril’s Parish Center, 14 Cyril’s Ave. Binghamton. Adults seven dollars, children under 12 … 2-50.
  • Applications for Tioga County Rural Ministry’s Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food is going on now through October 30th. If you would like to adopt a family, contact Sister Mary O’Brien by October 19th at 687-3021.
