  • The West Corners Lions Club will be holding a Chicken BBQ on September 12th at Evans Plumbing and Heating, 1555 Union Center Highway in Maine. Ten dollars includes Half Chicken, Salt Potatoes and Baked Beans.
  • There’s a bag sale at Harpursville United Methodist Church, 3500 New York Route 79, on Saturday, September 12th from 9am to noon.
  • Sanitaria Springs Fire Company is having a spaghetti dinner Saturday, September 12th at 4pm in the community hall at the station. Adults: Seven dollars. Children five through twelve are five dollars, under five: free. Salad bar and all you can eat.
  • Blues on the Bridge is Sunday, September 13th at the corner of Riverside Drive and Washington Ave. Free admission … twelve bands … one hundred vendors.
  • There’s a chicken barbeque beginning at 11am, and a tent & bake sale beginning at 9am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 72 Main Street Binghamton on September 12th. Chicken dinner is 8-50, half chicken is 6-50. Eat in or take out.
  • Support local cancer patients at the 4th Annual Pink Dress 5K Fun Run/Walk, September 12th. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.; start time at 9 a.m.at the Vestal Coal House at Rail Trail in Vestal. To learn more go to the Pink Dress 5K Fun Run BinghamtonNY page on Facebook.
  • The Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Upper Front Street, Binghamton, is having a rummage sale on September 12th starting at 9 a.m. September 12th there will also be a Chicken Barbeque beginning at 11 a.m. with a cost of eight dollars a person for a half chicken dinner.
  • There will be a benefit for Jim Bender, a local musician who suffered a stroke, on Sunday, September 20th at the Elks Lodge on Nanticoke Ave, Endicott, from 2 to 6pm. Spaghetti dinner, raffles, live music and more.
  • The Chow Hunger Walk 2015 is September 20th on Binghamton University campus. Registration is at 1pm at the Easy Gym with the walk beginning at 2. Learn more at the Chow Hunger Walk Facebook page.
  • Saint Michael’s Carpathian Festival in Sunday, September 20th from 11 to 6 at Saint Michael’s Recreation Center, 298 Clinton Street, Binghamton. Food, children’s games, raffles, and music.
  • The 2015 Olde Time Cruise-In and Family Day at Warren Township Community Center in Warren Center is Sunday, September 20th starting at 9 am. Free admission. Classic vehicles, live music, and food.
  • Be sure to register for the First Annual 4-H Clover 5K Run/Walk at 4-H Camp Shankitunk, 2420 Arbor Hill Road. The event is Saturday, September 26 with the Kids Fun Run starting at 9:00 am, and the 5K Run/Walk starting at 9:30am. All proceeds help Delaware County 4-H.   • There will be a ham dinner at the Harpursville United Methodist Church, Route 79, on September 19th from 4:30 to 7pm. Ham, mashed potatoes, beverages, cake and more. Adults … eight dollars; children five through twelve … 3-50.
  • There will be a Brooks Barbeque fundraiser for the Broome Senior Games, Friday, September 25th from 3:30 to 6:30pm in the parking lot of the Tractor Supply Company, 154 Vestal Parkway west. Nine dollars for chicken dinners; eleven dollars for rib dinners.
  • There will be a rummage sale at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 701 West Main Street, Endicott, Saturday, September 19th from 9 until 2. Bag sale at one.
  • Celebrate Twenty Years of Corn, Saturday, September 19th from 10 to 4 at Cincinnatus Central School. Parade begins at 10 on Route 26, followed by a day of food and family activities. Admission is one dollar donation per person.
  • The Owego Lions Club is having their 4th annual Chinese Auction, September 19th beginning at 6pm at the Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Boulevard, Owego. Fun for the whole family, with all profits going back to the local community.
