Hot Cross Run comes to Binghamton’s Otsiningo Park this Saturday June 18th at 10am, come join the event, get some healthy exercise and have some fun.

The Hot Cross Run is a new dynamic and extreme fitness event incorporating a 15 minute Hot Yoga session, 15 minute Crossfit routine, and a two-mile run or walk, hosted by  Bikram Yoga Binghamton, Southern Tier Crossfit, and Confluence Running.

The first of its kind in the Greater Binghamton area!

• The Owego Strawberry Festival is Friday June 17th and Saturday June 18th  in downtown Owego, arts and crafts, live entertainment, wine and beer tasting, 5K race and kids 1 mile run, the Strawberry Pageant, Rubber Duck Derby, new surprises and of course Strawberries!The 13th Annual Zoo Brew at the Binghamton Zoo is June 18th from 5 to 8pm. Local breweries, a catered dinner, live music and a visit from the ZooMobile. Includes French toast, Belgian waffles, sausage, ham, eggs, and more.The 47th Annual Warren Township Volunteer Fire Company Field Days is June 17th and 18th in Warren Center, PA. Midway opens 6pm on the 17th and 3pm on the 18th.

  Happy Tails No Kill Animal Shelter is raising funds by collecting shoes. Donate now through July 15th at Character Cuts Salon, 15 Elm Street, Towanda; Sparky’s Family Restaurant in Monroeton; and Smile Awhile Ice Cream, Route 409, Wyalusing.

  The Nanticoke Valley Historical Society will host events and tours of their historical buildings in the Town of Maine on Juney 18th and 19th.

  Maine American Legion Post 1390 is holding Jamboree Under the Tent, June 18th from 4 to 8pm; a Father’s Day Breakfast, June 19th from 8am to 1pm; and a Flag Retirement Ceremony, June 21st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at 2419 Route 26, Maine. The public is welcome to all events.

  Broome County Office for Aging holds an informational nutrition seminar on low fat eating entitled “Get Your FATS Straight” June 23rd at 10:30am at Vestal Senior Center, 201 Main Street, Vestal.

  Saint Michaels Holubki & Pirohi sale is ready for graduation weekend.  A dozen pirohi is $9 and $18 dollars for a dozen of fresh baked holubki.   The American Red Cross is offering Babysitter training on June 25th from 9am until 4pm.  The class is for youth ages 11 to 15 and will be held at the Red Cross office at 620 E.   The Chenango Valley School District now has openings for their Pre-Kindergarten program.  If you are a Chenango Valley Resident and your child will be 4 by December 1st, please call 762-6975 to receive an application.

  Fall enrollment is now open for Broome County’s four Catholic Schools. Families interested in enrolling their children in grades PreK-12 can receive an application and information by contacting Richard Bucci at 723-1547.

  The Thompson United Methodist Church is hosting a Roast Beef Supper on Saturday June 25th on 586 Main Street, Thompson PA.  Doors open at 4:30 for take outs and 5 for eat-ins.  $11 for adults and $5.50 for children 6-12.  All are welcome.
