It’s another weekend in the Southern Tier and another chance to enjoy the many things to do here. Take look at some of your choices and don’t forget about all the Lenten activities too (the link for those is at the bottom of the page)!


The Antique Automobile Club of America, Tioga Region’s, 2014 Indoor Winter Flea market is Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm. Head over to the Cole Auction Building at 3000 Route 17C in Tioga Center to see automobilia, model cars, toys, collectibles, license plates and more! There will be 50/50 and raffles for a pedal car, tool box, plus door prizes. Admission is free. Bring the whole family!

The Junior League of Binghamton’s Mother-Daughter Dance ticket sales event is Saturday from 8 am until all tickets are sold, at the Wendy’s restaurant, 217 Washington Ave in Endicott. Tickets are for the upcoming dance on April 26th.

There is a chicken biscuit dinner on Saturday to benefit Barb Marsh Hoover, who is fighting lung cancer, at the Lisle Fire Station from 2 to 6 pm. There will be basket raffles, 50/50’s and a dj, too. Funds raised will help pay medical bills and the cost of travel to Sloan Kettering.

The Triangle Fire Station hosts a chicken bbq on Sunday with pick up by 12:30 pm. Must be pre-ordered. Call 692-3035.

The Broome County Senior Centers are having a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for seniors on Monday at 11 am. Includes a traditional St. Patty’s Day lunch and performances. Reservations required. Call 778-2411.

The program “The 10 minute Body Breakthrough” is being held Mondays through March 31st at the Broome County YMCA from 11:30 to 12:30. A personal trainer leads the session. Registration required. Call 770-9622 ext. 420.

Community Baptist Church, 743 Chenango Street in Port Dickinson is having a rummage and bake sale on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm with a bag sale at noon.

The Endicott Elks celebrate St. Patricks Day with corned beef and cabbage dinner and Lenten special for their Friday dinner from 5 to 8 pm. Guinness on tap and Donal O’Shaughnessy performs from 8 to 11 pm. They also have a breakfast on March 16th from 8 to 11 am.

The Maine American Legion Post 1390, Route 26 in Maine, hosts a chicken and biscuit dinner on Saturday from 4 to 7 pm.
