What You Need To Know About the Prospect Mountain Project

It's time for another phase of the Prospect Mountain Construction Project to begin. Here's what you need to know:

Road work on I81NB at Exit 4 begins at 9am. New lane configurations will be implemented by 3pm. Exit 4S will close around 3pm and the ramp from Route 7 SB to I81NB will also close this afternoon.

The biggest piece of advice our buddies Jack Williams and Dave Hamburg gave today while stopping by the show today was to plan alternate routes. Did you know that 90% of traffic tie ups in the construction zone is from local traffic? Help out the project by taking a different route if you can.

I started taking the Broad Avenue exit a couple of weeks ago to train myself for the closing of the exit 4 S ramp. Now it's easy-peasy!

The other thing to keep in mind is the construction workers. There is a reason the speeds are reduced in work zones. For the safety of the workers! If you do speed, the police will not think twice about slapping you with a double speeding fine. Please drive respectfully.
