I have seen and heard this term "cosplay" tossed around a lot in the last few months and decided to investigate.

Turns out cosplay is short for costume play. It's where people dress up in costumes that represent characters or inanimate objects from comics, video games, films or different types of animation. Interesting. In our day we only did that once a year...on Halloween!

I like the idea though. You get out of your own zone and into another one. It is also childlike in many ways, which is nothing but great for your mental and physical health.

Thanks to the internet, cosplay lovers can interact and create events to share their hobby, both online and in real life. If you want to explore this hobby, cosplay.com is the biggest online community. Cosplayers can be any age, in case you are wondering.

In case you are wondering, a lot of hot chicks are a part of this. Score one for geekdom!
