Yes, my final Summer Vacation. I've been here long enough to get more than a week of time off, right?

While it's fun to get away for a week to do just about anything you'd like except work, it's not always how it turns out. Not that's a bad thing. In my case, and I'm sure the case for many others, a week off from your regular job allows you to get work done elsewhere, like around the house.

Things, like mowing the lawn and weed-whacking those pesky weeds that pop up everywhere that a lawn mower can't reach. It's been a while since the job needed to be done, and I'm just glad that code enforcement hasn't been by the house to observe the lawn quickly turning into a wheat field. Job done, though!

I even spent some time at the campground putting the finishing touches on a bridge I had built over the Summer. There's a bit of a ditch that stands between my camper and the fire-pit. The bridge was built to help prevent me from falling into the ditch on those nights (and even some days) when a bit too much liquid refreshment has gotten the better of me.

So a little work while on vacation is not such a bad thing, but now it's over for 2015. Here's to my next vacation, and probably a bit of odd jobs to go with it in the Summer of 2016!
