Recently, U.S. News and World Report published a list of the best public high schools in the country. The ranking comes from about 21,000 schools. They also ranked them by state. Some  schools are not included because of their small size.

Taking a look at that list, I found seven schools in the top 200 in New York State. Those schools also do very well nationally. The rankings include information of each school's college readiness index, student-teacher ratio, student body and test scores.

Medals are awarded to each school - gold, silver and bronze, depending on their rankings.
Ithaca scored a gold medal. Congratulations to all the schools, faculty, students and administrators!
