Day One of our annual Food-a-Bago Food Drive is in the books, and we have a long way to go to fill a very large RV.

That of course, is where you come in. Our annual food drive to help families in Broome County (through Broome County CHOW) is only a success when great people like Whale Listeners stop by to donate non-perishable food.

Your contribution can be as simple as one item, or as much as a truck load. We count every donation as equals. And we'd love to have your company, since it can get lonely sitting inside the RV all day!  With that said, what are we looking for? Pretty much any item that is non-perishable, including peanut butter, boxed and canned pasta, canned fruits and vegetables ,low sugar cereals, baby food, ramen noodles, small to medium bags of rice, tuna and canned meat and meals in can. Please avoid donating items packaged in glass, because radio personalities tend to drop and break stuff frequently.

So there you go! You will find us in a huge RV in the parking lot of the Weis Food Market, 1290 Upper Front Street, Binghamton from 6am to 6pm through Friday, 8am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday, and 6 to 10am Monday November 10th.

99.1 The Whale and the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) thank you for your assistance helping families in Broome County!
