Welcome to The Real Winter [VIDEO]

The next few months are not my favorite. Far from it, and I'll tell you why.

Normally I'm an upbeat kind of guy, but there's one thing that really bothers me when we begin a new year. Even though I've lived all but 3 years of my life in the Northeast, (born in the heart of Central Texas) I've never warmed up to Winter. In fact, if it's below 70 degrees, I'm not a happy camper. Speaking of camping,  another reason not to enjoy this Winter Wonderland is because my campground is closed until May, and that's a bummer.

Then there's the snowstorms and ice storms which result in traveling nightmares followed by shoveling the white stuff off the driveway, sidewalks and steps. I realize that Winter is fun for many, including those who ski, snowboard, snowmobile, etc. and that's great, but not for me. Maybe if I fired up my golf cart and attached a plow to it, that would be fun!

We have to endure little daylight and lots of cloudy days, but maybe the most frustrating thing about Winter, are those tons of pictures from friends and family posted on social media sites, showing their vacation in warm, sunny climates.
