99.1 The Whale Welcomes a New On-Air Personality!

Every so often one of our co-workers makes a career change, and many times, that person moves out of state. Mostly to somewhere with a better climate. And that means we have a rare opening for our next rock personality.

When (or if) I retire, I'd like to relocate to somewhere south or maybe southwest. I love Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Maybe someday.

Anyway, get back on track Don. We recently had an opening on The Whale midday show, and began the search for the next rock-n-roll personality. After an exhaustive search (everything is exhaustive for me these days), we found a great match for our airwaves. Her name is Nikki Cruz.

Nikki is a radio personality veteran, hailing from the Tampa, Florida area. As she has mentioned recently on-air, most people leave the northeast for the south. She did just the opposite. Getting used to our winter is a challenge for sure, but she is up to the challenge.
