A truck carrying fireworks struck a moose on the Trans Canada Highway near Wawa, Ontario on Friday morning. The collision caused the vehicle's fuel tank to rupture and catch fire, and you know what happened next. Watch the video above for the impressive display (though the moose probably didn't enjoy it as much).

The accident shut down the highway for 5.5 hours, as firefighters struggled to get the blaze under control. Travelers and onlookers stopped to view the accident and the ensuing display, which provided a surreal scene for rescue personnel. Unfortunately, not all of the pyrotechnics hurtled skyward; some launched toward first-responders.

Authorities could not confirm if the moose had been killed in the crash. That's a damn tough moose. Maybe Boris and Natasha were on to something?
