This is my favorite time of the year.
I'm talking about the camping season, which for me, runs from May to October.
Is that a bit strange?
I don't think so, and many of my fellow campers agree!

As you may or may not know, I have a camper, or as most around me like to say - "trailer" parked at a seasonal campground.
It's my getaway - a place where I can kick back, enjoy the scenery, and maybe a beverage or two or three.
While it is a relaxing time, the mobile phone is still with me, waiting to interrupt my tranquil moments.
But I have the kind of job that's 24/7, and I'm fine with that.

While I call it "camping," it's technically not.
Camping in my sense of the word, means a tent in a primitive area with no hookups for water, electric and sewer.
It's where you really get back to nature, and I've done that many times in my life, but now, I prefer the comforts of a "travel trailer."

The thing I really enjoy at my campground, are the connection you make with other campers, and how friendly and helpful everyone is.
If I have an issue with my camper, there will be several people who will stop by to help solve the problem.
It's not uncommon for a fellow camper camper to stop by at any time of the day to chat, relax and offer you a beer or two.
That's why I get there as often as possible, even though it's not real close from home.
Everyone has their hobby, and camping is mine.
If you haven't tried it, you should give it a go sometime!
