The "Radio Voice" of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Tim Heiman has been named  "The Minor League Broadcaster of the Year" by Ballpark Digest.  Heiman joined the Double-A Binghamton Mets in the broadcast booth in 2011.  He partnered with Matt McCabe that season then took over the lead role in 2012 when McCabe departed to pursue his law degree.

Considered by many to be one of the top play-by-play broadcasters in professional baseball Heiman teams with partner Jonny Wincott to call the action of Rumble Ponies baseball on News Radio 1290 WNBF. In addition to his baseball play-by-play duties Heiman originated the weekly feature "Eastern League Calls of the Week" that aired around the Eastern League on the pre-game shows of many teams.

In his role as the team's Media Relations Director Tim also dealt with the impact of Tim Tebow's assignment to Binghamton and the additional media needs and requests associated with that situation.

Heiman also works with Binghamton University athletics and handles television play-by-play duties for ESPN3 coverage of men's and women's basketball and soccer. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,

Heiman began his professional broadcast career in 2010 with the Auburn Doubledays in the New York-Penn League.
