Veterans’ Fly Fishing Program Gets a Boost

Veterans in the Broome County area have a chance to participate in a popular recreational activity.

County officials say $10,000 have been given to the Veterans Fly Fishing Program to help offset costs for travel to fly fishing destinations and instruction.

The mission of the Binghamton Veteran Fly Fishers is to lift the morale and support the welfare of veterans in Broome County.

County officials say the $10,000 contribution is a one-time donation.
