UPDATE: South Waverly, PA Standoff Ends

The standoff that caused Sayre area schools to be delayed by 2 hours this morning is over.

According to WETM-TV, the suspect is  in police custody (as of 7:45). No further information is available.

A police standoff has caused Sayre Area and Epiphany Catholic Schools to have a 2 hour delay today.

According to WETM-TV, the standoff began early this morning on William Street in South Waverly. at 1:30, surrounding streets were blocked off.A suspect is in a home on William Street and has a gun or guns according to the news report.

There is very little information, but we will update you when we have got it. I do have to say kudos to the school district for keeping their students home and safe.
