Pennsylvania State Police say a 17 year old girl driving on Orwell Hill Road in Bradford County March 7 lost control of her car on a left-hand curve and crashed into a vehicle driven by a Rome, Pennsylvania man, leaving her front seat passenger dead.

Authorities say the 17 year old’s 15 year old passenger sustained fatal injuries in the 8:35 a.m. crash while the driver and an 11 year old back seat passenger were taken to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment of injuries. The juveniles’ names are not being released by the authorities.

The 59 year old driver of the second vehicle was also taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Troopers say all four people were wearing seat belts.

Meanwhile, a Sayre man is dead after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Milan Road in Smithfield Township at around 2:30 p.m. March 7.

Pennsylvania State Police say 21 year old Thomas Cook lost control of his vehicle on a curve, slid sideways across the opposite lane and hit the tree on the northern side of the road.
