Two teenage girls were reported injured after a violent after-school fight in downtown Binghamton.

Police were called to investigate a disturbance near Tudor and Susquehanna streets around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

At least one of those involved in the fight was reported to be armed with a knife.

Fire medics and ambulances were dispatched to two locations to evaluate girls who were hurt in the dispute.

One girl who walked to a residence on Tudor Street reportedly sustained a serious finger injury. Another girl who went to a house on Rutherford Street was said to have had a head injury.

Those involved in the fight were initially not cooperating with officers. Police at the scene were not able to provide any information regarding the incident or whether any weapons were found.
