Turn Off of the Week: Coming Off as Desperate

This has been bothering me for quite some time.

I was in a recent situation lately where someone insulted someone I had dated in the past as a form of trying to get me to date them. How on earth they thought this was going to work, I'm not sure. Not only did it not work, but I really had no desire to speak with that person again.

Insulting someone's ex or their current actions as far as relationships go makes you seem extremely desperate if you are not good friends with this person enough to know the whole story. All this does is make the person you are trying to date upset and not like you more.

Moral of the story; don't insult others to gain benefit to your cause!
