Travel Alert This Weekend

Roadwork on Binghamton's Southside may affect your travel if you are heading to Binghamton General Hospital, The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park, or anywhere on the southside. The New York State Department of Transportation released a traveler advisory stating that today (10/13) from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and tomorrow between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Pennsylvania Avenue in Binghamton will be closed for pavement work.

On Friday it will affect Pennsylvania Avenue Northbound from the Vestal Ave / Pennsylvania Ave intersection to the Conklin Ave / South Washington Street intersection. On Saturday, October 14th between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pennsylvania Avenue Northbound and southbound Lanes will be closed during daylight hours from the Pennsylvania Avenue / Vestal Avenue intersection to the Conklin Avenue / South Washington Street intersection. Work is expected to last through Monday, Oct. 16th.

The State Route 434 Eastbound and Westbound off-ramps will be closed during the time of work. All work will be performed weather permitting.
