June was a busy month in classic rock history. Besides Monterey, there was Paul McCartney recording Yesterday and today, these events happened:

The Kinks arrived in New York City to begin their first USA Tour (1965).

Crosby, Stills and Nash released CSN in 1977.

Jefferson Starship failed to perform at a festival in Germany because singer Grace Slick was too drunk to go onstage and perform. Angry fans began to riot and caused over one million dollars in damages.

Led Zeppelin kicks off their first tour in Europe since 1973, which turned out to be their final European Tour (1980).

Rock on!
