Every employer in New York State is now required to have a policy and give interactive training at least annually for all employees, supervisors and managers by October 9th of this year.

It’s also recommended that members of boards of directors also attend training.

The session discusses implementation of policy, complaint forms, business owners’ responsibilities and investigative procedures.

There is no cost for the first 2 employees of any Tioga County Chamber of Commerce member.  The fee is $25 for additional employees and non-members.  Registration is limited to ten people.

The training is taking place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber office at 80 North Avenue in Owego.

Reservations should be submitted by calling the Chamber at (607) 687-2020 or www.tiogachamber.com.

Officials say the seminar will be repeated at various locations throughout the county.
