This is some pretty intense news! If you've been following the Tim Tebow story, he's hoping to get signed to an MLB team, and transfer over from his football career to baseball.

The New York Mets signed former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow to a minor league contract on Thursday, the team announced in a press release. "

Tim Tebow has been signed to a New York Mets Minor League contract! Do you know what this means? Regardless of what name the Binghamton Mets will take on next year, Tim Tebow may very well be playing baseball in 2017 for Binghamton minor league baseball!

Fox News also reported:

Many analysts expect Tebow to eventually be promoted to the Double-A level of the minors, given his age. The Mets' have their Double-A team in Binghamton."
