Throwback Thursday – Abe Vigoda as Fish [VIDEOS]

Today we pay tribute to one of the memorable television spin-offs of the 1970’s, and remember the star of the show Abe Vigoda.

He was the grouchy dry witted detective who made us laugh each week on Barney Miller from 1974 to 1977.

The spin-off debuted on February 5, 1977 and ran for two seasons, the show was based on the characters life outside his work as a detective he portrayed on Barney Miller, and focused on his domestic life as a foster parent with his TV wife Bernice.

The show also featured Todd Bridges (Willis from Different Strokes) as one of the foster kids.
