Land of the Lost – Doug’s Throwback Thursday [VIDEO]

Another Saturday morning cartoon from the minds of Sid and Marty Krofft, that featured a family transported to a mysterious world via a time portal.

The 'Land of the Lost' featured dinosaurs, prehistoric like terrain and evil lizard creatures called the Sleestak.

The Marshall family also encountered friendly cavemen called the Pakuni. One particular named Chaka who they befriended.

The show ran for two years from 1974 to 1976 and then showed up in syndication on various networks, before finally making its way on to DVD where you can now watch it anytime.

I still have great memories of Saturday morning cartoons. So there you have it, my Throwback Thursday memory for the week, 'Land of the Lost'.
