In 1970, the Flip Wilson Show debuted on TV. This was the golden age of variety shows and I still miss it! Remember this show?

Flip was a favorite guest of Ed Sullivan and on Laugh-In. So, they gave him his own show. it was a hit. There was no one funnier in a dress. The stars that walked onto the stage ranged from Tim Conway to Joe Namath to Ray Charles. Nothing was off limits and that made for great laughs!
