My Throwback Thursday memory for this week is the classic ‘Electric Football' game.

I had a few of these when I was a kid and they looked really cool all set up with both teams on a detailed football field. The field was a thin sheet of metal with a vibrating motor underneath.

When you turned the motor on, the metal would vibrate, and the little plastic football players would move. The trick was getting them to move forward, and advance the ball down the field to score a touchdown.

We always used the forward progress rule because many times the player with the little felt ball would turn around and head the other way, or go out of bounds.

I think they still make these, but I’m sure they’re nothing like the ones I played with as a kid.

There you have it, my Throwback Thursday, the Electric Football game.
