Throwback Thursday – Go Go Gophers [WATCH]

A spin-off featured during the Saturday morning Underdog cartoon show it ran for two seasons from 1966 to 1968 with 48 episodes.

The short 5-minute cartoon featured two Indians (Chief Running Board and Ruffled Feathers) that were the soul survivors of their tribe located in Gopher Gulch.  Colonel Kit Coyote needs to take over the land and win the west, but these two goofy Indians cause all kinds of problems for the Colonel, with pranks and antics that are comical.

I liked the show especially Ruffled Feathers spoke in a funny series of mumbles that you could not understand, while Chief Running Board would translate when the Colonel what ask ‘What did he say?”

The cartoons were short about 5 minutes in length and really that’s all they needed to be since the premise was the same every time.
