The show actually ran from 1968 to 1973 and introduce us to catch phrases like "Sock it to Me", "Very Interesting", and "You Bet Your Sweet Bippy".

Roman and Martin's laugh In launched the careers of Goldie Hawn, Ruth Buzzi, and many others, and included a cameo of President Richard Nixon reciting one of the shows catch phrases.Nixon was so square he didn't say the phrase with the right inflection

Dan Rowan and Dick Martin were actually a lounge act that was thrust into the national scene for this weekly variety show

This show ran for six season, and I remember watching on our black and white TV.
