Neighbors reported hearing gunfire around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday at 1 Mozart Street. The shooting scene is about two blocks south of Main Street.

One man reportedly was shot in the head. Another man sustained a severe arm injury and initially was said to be hospitalized in critical condition.

Detectives believe the shooting occurred after two of the men entered the Mozart Street residence. A man inside the house apparently shot the other men.

Police investigators secured the scene with yellow crime tape. Detectives fanned out through the neighborhood to interview people who were in the area at the time of the shooting.

People who live in the residential area said the neighborhood normally is quiet with relatively few criminal incidents.
