This Party Girl is Getting Old

Group of friends

I have recently decided that I prefer not to go out both nights every weekend. Why have I come to this conclusion? Well, to be honest, after lots of time and much thought I decided it was not very fulfilling.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE to go see live bands and dance but what I am talking about is slightly different. I am no longer entertained by the masses of young people trying to get into my pants or watching them stumble around and imitate having sex on the dance floor. I don’t want to see this, and I’m sure your mother doesn’t either.

At some point, I am sure we have all been there….by there, I mean been out getting drunk like the young cool adults we think we are. Most of you know I enjoy drinking but I’m all about the company and if I’m not around good people, no thank you. I would rather enjoy some drinks with a small group of friends then go out with a bunch of random people I don’t know. Mind you, this is coming from someone that loves to talk to strangers for some reason….obviously my parents didn’t teach me well.

With that being said, have no fear, I will still be out frequenting live shows and occasionally on the dance floor shaking it but I suppose in the end, I prefer to hang out with good people in good places, that are preferably intelligent, fun and most likely slightly older than myself. Sorry young ones, I think I’m getting too old for you! What age did you get tired of hanging out with the younger crowd? When to going out all the time start to get old for you? Let me know, I’m interested in what people much wiser than I have to say on this.
