Yesterday afternoon, our company, Townsquare Media Binghamton, held their annual company picnic at Mountain Top Grove. It was open to all employees of our five radio stations and their immediate family members. All the jocks from all five stations, as well as our sales staff, engineering department, and office staff, all got together and had a good time. Mountain Top Grove is a great place to hold an event. We enjoyed the awesome food that included; all you can eat steamed and raw clams, hot and sweet sausage sandwiches, steak sandwiches, corn, salt potatoes, clam chowder, salads, shrimp cocktail, and ice cream. It was all you can eat so I made sure I didn't eat lunch yesterday so I would be nice and hungry by the time I got there. Drinks were included as well but we all drink in moderation because we all had to work the next day, and our boss was there too. I brought Chris and Ian with me this year. They had fun playing horseshoes and corn-hole against each other. We sat around with all my fellow co-workers and their families and enjoyed stories of days gone by. And there were door prizes that included tickets to concerts, The Rumble Ponies, and theme parks.

We were also talking about Parlor City Oktoberfest which will be happening up at Mountain Top Grove on October 13th. Tickets for that will be going on sale soon and you don't want to miss it. There will be craft beers, authentic German foods and desserts, vendor booths, a children activity area, contests, and live entertainment. If you own a business and you want to showcase your business in front of thousands of people, you can reserve your vendor space now for the event on our website.

Events like this make me love my job.
