The Thruway and Binghamton Tomorrow!

This is so cool! Check out this video of the new highway in Binghamton from 1951. Do you see old neighborhoods that you recognize?

Can you imagine what it used to be like? Having been born in 1984, I didn't have the pleasure of seeing Binghamton in it's booming hay-day, like this video depicts. If they made a video today of the highway construction project, what do you think they would say? Or, would they perhaps focus more on the traffic tie-ups, since we're all so busy all of the time, and always in such a rush?
