If you haven't visited the Oakdale Mall lately, then you're missing a very unique display of art, in the form of canned goods.

Can-struction is apart of an international hunger-relief competition, where area businesses which consist of many architects, engineers and contractors, compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food.

Once the competition is over, the canned goods, and all the proceeds will support several area food pantries and hunger-relief activities in Broome County.

The Food Bank of the Southern Tier, and our local CHOW program are the two main organizations that will benefit from this event.

The displays will remain set up at various locations inside the Oakdale Mall until this Sunday, April 19th.

Stop by and see the displays, created by our local businesses!

I had the chance to speak with John Fuller, Community and Public Relations Manager for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Check out the complete interview below.
