Lets talk about something we can all relate too, toys.

The National Toy Hall Of Fame is releasing their nominees for the 2014 inductions and I think toys strike a chord with everyone.

They kept us occupied when we were children, and they bring back such great memories when we look back on our association with them.

Some of my favorite memories of those carefree days are the toys I played with like Thimble City which was a table top set up with little houses, stores, a train station etc.

There were little people that had magnets on the bottom of them and you had a rod that you place underneath the platform to move the people in and out of the building and around the sidewalks.

Another memory was the game connect four which is kind of an old school 2 player tetras game in which you dropped colored discs into slots, and the first to match up four in a row in any direction wins, I remember playing this game with my grandmother and she beat me every game, it’s one of my fondest memories of her.

I have many favorites, but I’ll save those for another time.

I hope this article got you thinking about some of your favorites and the memories they bring to mind.
