When I say 'Binghamton area', I mean anywhere within a one hour drive that's so worth the trip to enjoy an awesome chocolate milkshake.

A few years ago I asked this question - "Where can I find the best milkshake in our area?" I really didn't get that 'satisfying' answer.

What I'm talking about is, a chocolate shake what is thick enough to make the straw stand in the middle, but not so thick, you can't suck the milkshake through the straw. If it's that thick, then it's not a milkshake, it's more like a Frosty from Wendy's, which I love, but it's not a milkshake.

I do have a favorite. Again it's in Ocean City, MD (same town as my favorite french fries). You may know what I'm talking about - Dumser's Ice Cream on the boardwalk, among other locations. It's very chocolatey (did I spell that right?) and just thick enough for my taste. That is my definition of a thick chocolate milkshake. I'm not just looking for thickness though. It also has to have a good amount of syrup to bring out a strong chocolate taste. Can't wimp out on that, otherwise, it's a thumbs down for me.

So, Whale Nation, can you tell me where I can find this milkshake clone in, or around the Binghamton area, or do I have to drive south for 5 plus hours?
